How do I perform a Registry Clean?

Performing a registry clean will reset all of your Geomagic Software settings. This can sometimes solve unusual graphical problems, as well reset undesired changes to your settings. This will also reset all software settings.

For Geomagic Design X, Geomagic Control X:

1) Close all instances of Geomagic.

2) Navigate to C:>Program Files>3D Systems>Geomagic [Design X/Control X]>License>ResetOptions.exe

3) Run the ResetOptions file by right clicking the file name and selecting Run as Administrator.



4) Click Clean, then click Yes in the following pop ups.

5) Click the X to close the RestOption dialogue and relaunch the software.


For Geomagic Design X, Geomagic Verify or Geomagic XOS version 5.2 and later:

1) Close all instances of Geomagic.

2) Navigate to C:>Program Files>3D Systems>Geomagic [Design X/Verify]>License>ResetOptions.bat

3) Run the ResetOptions file.

4) Run the ResetOptions file.

5) Click OK to all the pop-up dialogs.

6) Click the 'X' in the lower right when done and restart the software.


For Rapidform XOR3 SP1 HF1, XOV3, XOS3 and older:

1) Close all instances of Geomagic.

2) Launch the License Utility:

 

For XOV, go to the Start Menu>All Programs>Rapidform>Rapidform XOV>License Utility

For XOR, go to the Start Menu>All Programs>Rapidform>Rapidform XOR>License Utility

3) Select Registry Clean, check both check boxes, and click Next.

 

4) Click OK to all the pop-up dialogs.

 

Click Finish/Cancel when done and restart the software.
